Portraits

We often receive electronic pictures identified as being from G West and Son from people wanting to date or identify the subjects. Unfortunately, no records were kept from that side of the business, except of course that the yachting photographs were sold en bloc to Beken who still hold the copyright for the material, and who can supply high-resolution prints from their Cowes office. But proofs of the more 'domestic' pictures haven't been kept, and if there were once records of sitters and subjects, these have long since been lost.

Shown below are electronic versions of pictures that we have been sent since this website has been in operation with as much information as we can glean about them. You'll need a broadband connection to see this page as some of the pictures are quite large - please bear with us as the page loads.
